Putin : Russia will Launch the Third New Coronavirus Vaccine in the Nearest Future

October 7th. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday (6th) that he believes that Russia will soon have a third new coronavirus vaccine.

According to news from TASS on the 6th, during a meeting with the head of the State Duma Caucus, Putin pointed out that the Gamaleya Institute vaccine is undergoing the third phase of testing, but it has been registered and started to use. Putin also looks forward to registering the second vaccine of Novosibirsk Vector Center in the next few days. Putin said, 'These vaccines are the world's highest level, the first and second are the same. I believe that Russia's third vaccine will appear in the nearest future.'

Regarding the dosage issue, Putin said that Russia needs one million doses of the new coronavirus vaccine, but the problem now is to solve the problem of industrial production. Putin said that cooperation with other countries does not hinder the expansion of production in Russia. He also said that this work has never hindered anyone, but is beneficial to the people.

The Russian Ministry of Health registered the world's first new coronavirus vaccine on August 11. The vaccine was jointly developed by the National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology of Gamallea and the Russian Direct Investment Fund, and was named 'Sputnik-V'. The vaccine uses a two-dose vaccination procedure, each with two adenoviruses as carriers, and the vaccination interval is three weeks. Subsequently, many Russian dignitaries, including the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, announced the injection of the vaccine. Before taking all internationally recognized testing and regulatory steps, some Western experts warn against the vaccine.

The Russian side said that the third phase of the trial started on August 25, with about 40,000 people participating, and the follow-up study will be completed on December 31. In addition, since the results of this study were first published in an international peer-reviewed journal, Moscow’s foreign critics have been greatly reduced. It is reported that the vaccine has begun mass production and is expected to be available to foreign markets in November. Ukraine and Belarus have sought to introduce the vaccine from Russia, and about 40 countries including Brazil, Egypt and India are also interested in buying it.

In addition, Putin also introduced earlier on the 6th that almost all leaders of the Russian Ministry of Defense and other intelligence agencies have been vaccinated against the coronavirus. Many relatives, friends and colleagues around him have been vaccinated against the new coronavirus. Putin said, 'Many people around me, relatives and colleagues around me have been vaccinated. I think there are 50 people. Seven or eight people have a slight increase in body temperature. Not serious, but it has risen.'
