Russian President Putin : Russia's Second New Coronavirus Vaccine was Registered



 

October 14, according to Russian Satellite Network, on the 14th local time, Russian President Putin stated that the new coronavirus vaccine developed by the Russian 'Vector' Science Center was registered on the same day.
 

According to reports, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the vaccine is safe and the first batch of 60,000 doses will be produced in the near future.
 

Putin added that as part of the clinical trial, both Golikova and Anna Popova, Director of the
Russian Federation Consumer Rights Protection and Public Welfare Supervision Agency, have been vaccinated with the new vaccine.
 

According to reports, this is the second new coronavirus vaccine registered in Russia, and the first vaccine 'Sputnik-V' was registered on August 11.
 

The Russian new coronavirus vaccine clinical trial was launched in Moscow on September 7, and the first batch of participants was vaccinated on September 9. It is said that a total of 40,000 volunteers participated in the trial, and 10,000 of them would be injected with a placebo in order to test the effectiveness of the vaccine.
