Latest Research : Most COVID-19 Patients have Sequelae



The latest South Korean study points out that up to 90% of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country said they had experienced more than one sequelae, including fatigue, psychological or mental sequelae, and loss of taste or smell.

According to foreign media reports, South Korea published the latest study on the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic on the 29th. Kwon Joon-Wook, Deputy Director of the Anti-epidemic Measures Headquarters (KDCA), said that an investigation of 965 domestic recovered people found that as many as 879, about 90%, reported that they had appeared at least one sequelae.

Kwon Joon-Wook explained that fatigue is the most common, accounting for 26.2%. Others include psychological or mental sequelae, and loss of taste or smell.

Kwon Joon-Wook emphasized that the survey was conducted by Kim Shin-Woo, a professor of internal medicine at Kyungpook University School of Medicine, asking the opinions of a total of 5,762 recovered patients in South Korea, of which 16.7% participated in the survey.
South Korea added 38 new cases on the 29th. A total of 23,699 cases were confirmed nationwide, with 407 deaths.
