Australian Prime Minister : If Oxford University's New Coronavirus Vaccine Trial is Successful, it will be Free for Australians

On August 25, according to Deutsche News Agency Sydney news, Australian Prime Minister Morrison said on the 19th local time that Australia will produce the new coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford University in the UK in accordance with the latest agreement signed. Successfully, this vaccine will be provided free of charge to 25-million Australians.

Morrison said he hopes the drug will be available in early 2021. He said 'Oxford University's vaccine is one of the most advanced and promising vaccines in the world. If it succeeds in advance, we will ensure that every Australian is vaccinated for free.'

However, Morrison also mentioned that there is no guarantee that the Oxford University vaccine will be successful. His government will continue to negotiate with other pharmaceutical companies and support Australian researchers to continue developing vaccines.

The vaccine jointly developed by Oxford University and British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca is currently in the third phase of the trial, and thousands of volunteers are being tested.
