Fauci Said He has Serious Doubts about the Effectiveness of Russia's New Coronavirus Vaccine: 'Having a Vaccine does not Mean Proving that the Vaccine is Safe'
On August 12 that Russian President Putin announced on the 11th that the Russian Ministry of Health has approved the registration of the world’s first new coronavirus vaccine.
Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in an interview with the ABC, that he seriously doubts the safety and effectiveness of Russian vaccines.
ABC reported that the Russian Ministry of Health approved the vaccine after only two months of testing. Some experts questioned the claim that the vaccine could be used on a large scale.
Fauci said that having a vaccine and proving that the vaccine is safe and effective are two different things. There is no evidence to convince him that the vaccine is really ready.
