Israeli Minister of Health: If Russia’s New Coronavirus Vaccine is a 'Serious Product', It May Try to Procure
Reuters news on August 12, Israeli Minister of Health, Yuli Edelstein, said that Israel will examine Russia’s new coronavirus vaccine, and if it finds that this vaccine is a 'serious product', it will try to develop with Russia procurement negotiations.
The report pointed out that Israel is developing its own vaccine candidate and intends to start clinical trials as early as October. It is reported that Israel has also signed an option agreement with Moderna and Arcturus Therapeutics to purchase its potential vaccines.
According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Health registered the world's first vaccine for the prevention of new coronavirus infection on August 11, which was jointly developed by the Gamallea National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology and the Russian Direct Investment Fund. The vaccine was named 'Sputnik V'. Russian President Putin said that the vaccine has passed all necessary tests and can form a stable immunity.
