WHO : The World Needs Multiple Types of Vaccine Candidates
WHO Director-General Tan Desai pointed out on the 13th that the new coronavirus vaccine development process is complex, risky and costly. There are many different types of candidate vaccines in the world. When a new vaccine is successfully developed, demand will exceed supply.
At present, many countries have decided to jointly produce the new coronavirus vaccine. Argentina and Mexico will jointly produce millions of doses of the new crown vaccine developed by Oxford University in the United Kingdom and the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to ensure that the vaccine supply in Latin America is 'timely and adequate'.
India’s largest vaccine manufacturer 'India Serum Institute' also recently signed an agreement with AstraZeneca and Novavax in the United States to produce the new crown vaccine developed by the two companies and provide it to poor countries. According to reports, the vaccine can be put into production as early as the first half of 2021.
